I am positive that most of you are familiar with the term, as well as the phenomenon, called “gamer gurl”. The reason why I would like to dedicate this (my very first!) blog-post, is obviously because it is a rather controversial and hot topic amongst us, gamers, of the female sex.
Why is there such an emphasis on winning in video games? Can’t video games be something else than a way to grant you bragging rights against your friends?

I’m sure that many gamers at the age of 20 and above, like me, can agree that gaming in the 90s or earlier is difficult to compare to what gaming is now. At least when looking at the feasibility of games. The entire process of completing a game in the 90s was based on trial and error and the local circumstances; in other words, try it out yourself and ask your friends for help if necessary.
